I have Spelling and Grammar issues!

OK I am sorry for all the terrible bad grammar and spelling.

You need to know I do try my best,. If I worry about getting everything correct I would not be up to date or doing this at all. I know some of my readers are school teachers and this bugs them terribly. I do apologize to them. But why do they have so many different spellings and such.  Ugh...my brain just does not work this way.  This also drives Gary crazy....So Sorry!

I try to add lots of photos to tell the story. So then I don't have to write so much. :-)

I usually update my blog late at night or very early in the morning. I get easily distracted and my mind wanders often. So it is a miracle that I can get my blog done at all. I also have restless leg syndrome so at night my legs are very distracting....So Sorry....I do try....Don't hate me.

I miss all my family that is out of state and country! This is for you and also for my family journal. Life happens to fast and I forget things to quickly.

Love to all!

I have the best Family and Friends around!

SHS Homecoming Dance!

Some of the guys came to our house to hang out and get ready for the big dance.  Gary helped tie a couple of ties make sure they had everything on correct.  What a nice bunch of boys!

 Vincent- Connor- Kallan- Alex
They were meeting the girls at the restaurant on Carllion Point in Kirkland waterfront. The Lake Cafe?  They have a nice dock and stair case that is great for photos. Too bad it was raining and it was getting dark fast.

 Cool Dudes!
Yeah the girls are arriving. Vincents date was one of the first. Exchanging the corsage and boutinier. The corsage's are so nice with an elastic wrist band. Very handy for the boys.
His date was very nice. Her name is Jasmine.

Handsome couple. Vincent is growing up so fast. He looks so old. But he is only 15-1/2!

I had a busy night driving around and taking photos of the kids. I loved that part. But I wished it had not rained. We had to hurry so the girls hair would not get too messed up out side. So it was a mad rush.

We drove them to dinner, then to the dance, then to the after party at a midnight bowling alley. It was pretty cool. Next year they will be able to drive them selves.  Yikes....I am not ready for that. We got home just before 2am!

OK I am so ready for bed!  Peace out!

Scout Target Shooting Outing!

Once a year the scouts get to go up to the church ranch and shoot guns. One of the leaders has a bunch of old black powder guns that use lead bullets. The boys love to shoot those. They also get to shoot .22 rifles. A few adults come with their own 9 mil hand guns. The boys were not aloud to shoot those. Gary drove Vincent up this year so he would be home in time for the Homecoming dance. Vincent also wanted to have Gary there. This is a good guy bonding event. They even talked Gary into shooting this year. He shot the hand gun and the rifles.  The weather started out cold, but the sun came out and they warmed up.

They told me they had a great time. They also said the fall colors were amazing mixed in with the tall evergreen fir trees.

Go Vincent!
I am glad to see they are being safe!

SHS Homecoming Football Game

A Homecoming Football game is a big thing for American High School kids. It is a time when the Alumni come to the game. Also it is when the Class Royalty is announced and everyone gets to see who is the Queen and King for the different classes. They usually get paraded around the track in fancy new cars. The Band plays while they do a cool march. Cheerleaders do their thing. Drill team puts on a show. All the kids come to hang out and be cool.

Vincent was not too happy when I first told him I wanted to attend the game with Dad. But then I explained it was a game not just for his class but for the Alumni also. That is me!  1984 is the year I graduated from SHS.

Vincent was great with Andrew. He was excited he was going to attend. He went and helped him pick out cloths that were red and black. Let him borrow a hat and then I put on matching face paint. He introduced him to all his friends and even showed him how to do a cool handshake. I think he enjoyed how much the girls liked his cute little brother.  They hung out together for a while in the student section of the stands. I tried not to been seen. But I did snap a few photos when I could. :-)

The car was a hit with the smoke coming out the back and making a loud reving noise.
A little different from my days. We had floats from different clubs and convertible cars that the royalty sat up on the back of the car. I guess with the rain and the safety issues they changed it.

If you know teenagers they don't like to be seen with parents. I am not getting a happy look from Vincent.ha ha..I was trying to be stealth and take a photo with my telephoto lens. He caught me...
SHS Football team has not changed much. We only had one win my senior year. Oh well, it is still fun.

This was Gary's first American High School football game. I think he is good now. Not rushing out to see another one. We did enjoy watching all the kids have fun socializing. He also gets a little taste of what High school is like here.

Fall in Bellevue!

I love warm sunny fall days!
This Photo makes me happy to be living in Washington. I will try and remember this scene during the rainy winter.
It is my new screen saver for my computer. :-)

This is a view of down town Bellevue.
From the Sunset Hills Cemetery a block a way.

Skate King! Still Around!

Oh the memories of Skate King....I remember many hours spent there when I was a kid. All the neighbors and school friends. One of my memories are of Krisse skating with her cool new white skates. They were so awesome. Dorothy would skate some times also. I do remember her falling and having the ambulance coming. We used to spin in the middle of the floor and loved the Snowball. Where the girls would ask the  boys to skate around holding hands and then they would switch.

Vincent went here also with his Elementary school. He is an awesome skater, a real natural. I don't think he even went thru a learning stage.

Andrew is a natural also. We both got told to slow down from the mean lady doing the music. I was just trying to get my cardio going. Andrew had a great time with his friends from school. Nice to see the tradition continuing to my kids.

The mural in the back is the same as when I was young.

The Kingdome is even pictured here. It was down town Seattle 1976-2000. They blew it up! Way cool.

The did take down the red shag carpeting off the walls. :-) Most everything else the same.

Hat Trick Andrew!

Andrew played a great game last week. He got his first Hat Trick. If you are not a soccer person that means you scored 3 goals in one game!  Yeah!  It was really fun to watch. Poor Gary missed it. Vincent had a game at the same time. The crowd went wild!  Coach named him player of the match.

Good Job Andrew!

They plaed by North Bend. It had a great view of Mt. Si !

Wedding Time!

Shane Matthews got married last week. I had a fun time at his reception. But I forgot to take a photo of the happy couple. Whoops....what was I thinking? But I did snap a few of my cousins-Shauna and Lori- and Aunt Janet. Love them!  I missed Daren and Kelly also, was great talking to them. I had a fun time catching up and with James also!

I snagged this photo from Facebook. Very cute couple. I am very happy for them. Shauna did a great job on the reception. Loved the cupcakes!  Yum Yum!

Mail Theft!

On our way home from the Sounders game Gary was wondering why he had not seen, via email, that his Netflix CD's had not arrived yet. He then went on line and remembered he mailed a bunch of checks that same day for bills. Then he saw one was cashed and looked at the photo they make of it and saw that some one had crossed off the banks name and but in some one else's name! Can you believe that some one cashed it for them?  We think some check cashing place must have done it. The bank would hopefully not take something like that!

After a night of little sleep for Gary, he called the police to report it. Then put a stop on our other checks. The police man showed up in 5 minutes of calling. I was very surprised. The officer was very nice. Handsome also :-) Then spent a couple hours at the bank trying to sort it all out. Fun times.

Our neighborhood is so quiet. I guess too quite and trusting we are. We have learned out lesson. We are looking to get locked mail boxes soon. Some of our inbound mail is missing also. Some coins from the US mind never showed up. Not nice people.

The officer let us know later that they think they know who it is, and will we press charges. Heck yes! They could have really messed us up if Gary had not been so on the ball. I love that man. :-)

Below is what our house looks like right now with Halloween decorations. Don't you think it needs more stuff?  Some does not show up.

This is the first time my Fuchsia's have lasted this long!  They are still blooming. I have a feeling we are in for a yucky winter. El Nino is this year. Warm Fall and cold wet winter is forcasted. Ugh...
