Club Fun!

The Cub Fun Gang- Mathias-Gus-Theo-Sam-James-AndrewI found Gus and Andrew making lunch- Peanut-butter and Jam and plain Jam sandwiches for all! They made them all buy them selves. They did not ask for any help, nor did I tell them to make sandwiches. Andrew had thought threw everything.
Theo helped put together a time table of all the activities they wanted to do for the time frame they had set up. Andrew had handed out invites all by him self and determined the time of the get together.

A couple of boys could not make it. They go skiing in the winter with their families.

Andrew had made name badges for everyone so they knew what team they would be on. He arranged the teams very carefully so they would be even.

This is the sign he made to put on the gate to the backyard. I love how he drew pictures of the kids playing football!

He also had an arrow pointing to the side of the house-pointing to Club Fun!

Andrew had to much fun with the kids. He told me that if some one got hurt they would come and get me. Other wise they were fine with out me. Gary and I had a fun time watching the boys play. Andrew made sure they had equipment ready for all the games. They borrowed base ball equipment from the neighbor boys. It was really funny watching them play football. Andrew has never played before. Watching him trying to hike the ball was great.
The kids wanted to do this every Saturday. I think we will try and do this once a month. I need to get hold of all the parents and try and figure out something. Some of the parents wondered if this was a real get together. They said the invite was too cute. Sam's dad said he woke him up at 6am ready to go the Cub meeting.
I am very proud of Andrew. He took lots of time to think everything thru. He even delegated to some of his friends to help him out. It is fun to see him being a good leader with his friends. We had a nice talk about how when we are the leader, we don't just tell kids what to do. We help everyone stay on track and decide as a group what the plan should be.

Getting Better!

I see alittle light.....Gary seems to be getting better. yeah...Still on pain meds...I see a smile on his face more often the past few days. We even went out to dinner - East Indian food. I am happy that he is happier...It is still slow progress... but better than nothing.

Can't wait to sleep in Saturday!

Andrew has been planning on putting together a club for his friends. He has made invitations on little pieces of paper and had me photo copy them. Then he passed them out to friends at school. He had the time of 11 to 1 on Saturday. He says they are going to vote on who is going to be a team leader. He will be the main leader, but will have other leaders of teams, green and blue teams. He has written out games that they can play on paper. He also wrote all kinds of notes like do not go here and he will tape them on areas that they are not allowed to go to. Like Gary's office and not going over the back fence. It is funny that he came up with this all by him self. He has asked for hardly any help. He did ask Gary if he will help make membership cards for everyone.

So I don't know who or if any kids will show up tomorrow. I think I will make some phone calls in the morning. I should have called some mom's today. But busy working. Oh well.

Vincent's basket ball team is really bad this year. Very frustrating for him. They have lost every game so far. I guess thats what happens when you play for the Boys and Girls club. He has some cute boys on the team, but not that athletic. They seem to have fun. But it would be funner if they won at least one. They have playoffs in two weeks. I hope they can win one. Oh well, it is good for Vincent, you can't always be on a winning team.

Bloggers Block

Ok- I am having problems. Like Allison i keep thinking I need to blog then I don't have anything to say. But who cares. I have to remember that life is not all cute photos and great things that have happened to me.

My boys keep growing and getting older. My sweet Andrew woke me up on Valentines Day and had a great necklace for me and a great hug and a kiss. He wrote cute letter to Vincent that I should scan and put in, but I am too tired to scan it. But he wrote: Dear Vincent, I hope you could be nicer to me, but we ca still have fun together. I hope we can go to the river on a sunny day maybe we can make swords out of clay and we can try to find that beaver. Happy Valentines Day- Love Andrew

Break my heart. Vincent i don't think is that bad to Andrew. But you know how brothers are. Today was a sunny day and he asked it they could go to the river. The sun was out but it is still too cold to get wet in the river. Last summer they found a stream - part of Kesley Creek I think, and they found a beaver making a dam. they even got a photo of it. I hope it gets warm soon so they can get back out side and play. Vincent has been nicer to him. I hope it lasts for a few more days. :-)

Vincent is going into High School next year. Can't believe it. Not sure what school he should go to yet. Maybe Sammamish or Interlake. I think Newport is out. His spanish was difficult this year for him to stay caught up. Next year it will just get harder. I don't want to add stress to a stress full situation (school).

Gary is still not better. We keep thinking he is getting better. But he is not. Still in a lot of pain. Saw a specialist and trying some antibiotics to see if that will help. Nothing yet. I will give it a few more days then we will try the doctor again. He is being a trouper and going to work and getting work done then come home and get his pain under control. Not very much fun for him. Sorry honey. So Valentines Day, was not filled with roses. But I am very thankful that I have a husband! And that he is such a great Dad and Husband! And he is home, so I can try and take care of him. Just wish I did not have to cook. I need to try some of Allison's recipes.

Work is good. I just need to get back in the swing of things. Try and stay focused. I did a presentation the other day and made a Power Point. I think it rocked. We will see if I get any business out of it. :-)

Peace Out! :-)
