Sculptor Park Seattle

Tonight our Young Womens activity was to go to Seattle and walk around the Sculptor Park. I hope I am spelling that right. I dragged Andrew around. He was having a fun time till he hurt his hand. But I took photos of him anyways. In my favorite picture he is mad at me for not going home right away. So he is giving me his pouting face! I am so mean! And I love taking photos when they show thier true emotions and tantrums!

The girls seemed to like the park. I think they liked walking around and visiting with each other the most. It was a great night because it was not raining! The clouds were very textured looking over the smooth water. And a hint of sunshine as it set behind the clouds. As you can tell I am missing the sunshine. Even though it has only been a few days of rain and clouds, It just seems to soon to lose the sunshine. It is not even September yet. I am glad the grass is getting greener.

Soccer Season is Here!

Gary is getting around a little better the last few days. Yeah! He can even drive himself to work now.

Busy with work this week. Nothing went right this week. Good thing we had soccer to help distract me from this.

Here are some photos of my favorite soccer player! Vincent. He scored 6 goals in one of his tournament games. Kind of crazy. He was excited. But they did lose 2 games.

Mom asked about Dorothy's tombstone

Dorothy Erickson was one of the greatest ladies I have ever known. She just got her grave headstone in place and Mom asked to see it. It is right next to Scott Cox's timeshare. They have a great view of the city from their spot.

It is very pretty and looks great. Good job Krisse. Dorothy would love it. It is nice to have her spot so close by the house.

I think of Dorothy often and the great example she set for me. I often think what would Dorothy do. For everyone loved her and felt loved by her. And she told it straight up.

I saw Ron at church last Sunday. I did not get a chance to talk to him, but Tyler E was home and Steve was visiting also. I am sure he was enjoying seeing what a great man Tyler has turned out to be in the Marines. He shared is testimony and it was sweet. He is going to be deployed soon, but he is not going to Iraq or Afghanistan- Yeah! I think he is going to the Mediterranean area.

I miss reading the book!

Bummers......................I guess I will have to find another good book to read. Or do laundry :-( who wants to do that. It was nice to escape from everything for a while. Like a mini vacation for your mind!

I am afraid to read The Host. Some told me they did not like the ending. So why start?

Team Edward!

Ok so call me crazy! I went to our local Barnes and Noble book stores Breaking Dawn party! It peaked my interest to see what the kids were up to. But also I really wanted to buy the book at midnight and get started on reading it right away. I had been preparing myself for a few days. I re read some of the last book to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything! I can't believe I am saying all this. The kids were great and I was surrounded a couple of hundred girls eager to get the book as soon as they could. A few were dressed up as Vultori characters. I even saw one Mom with bite marks on her neck! OK I didn't go that far!
During the day I watched the web cast of Stephanie Meyers concert that she had and it had a fun interview of her also. I did like some of the songs that she had picked to go with the book characters.
Well I am finished with the book. Gary is very glad to have me back with the living again. I would have gotten done sooner, but I had to be a Mom for a while and feed the kids. I hate that food thing. I wish we could just take a pill and be done with it.
I like the book and think she did a great job with it! I am glad to hear that it will not be the last yet. But she is taking a break from it. She does a great job letting you get sucked into a great story. It is not for everyone. Either you like it or you don't. I thought it was great and will probly re-read it again soon.
GO TEAM EDWARD! But I do love Jacob also!
