Go Sammamish Soccer!

Yeah! Sammamish won against Bellevue! It was a great game, but very cold. But we got lucky just as we left the hail started. Crazy weather!

This is Gary and one of our favorite Mom's. She gets so excited!

Vincent got new shoe's! They are the colors for his next select team he will be playing on. Gary saw them and snagged them quick. They were even on sale!

Sounder's Time Again!

Gary and I had a great time at the game. We went prepared for rain and we got it. I don't understand why the boys wanted to go home at half time. Have I not raised my kids to like the rain? We were ahead 2-0 and it was great. I think the next time we are going to leave the boys home. So if anyone is interested in going to a Sounders Game let me know!

This is Vincent's fake smile so I will take him home. He wore me down and we headed home.

Andrew was hiding under the blanket and playing his DSI.

Vincent's face is showing how much pain he is in. We are such mean parents to make him go to a Sounders Game.

Happy Birthday Johnny!

It is my little brothers birthday today. He would have been 39 today. I happened to have these old photos of him on my computer. I don't have any photos of him older on my computer. I thought they were pretty sweet.
Johnny was a cute little rascal. Every one loved him most of the time. He had his moments when I could have strangled him. Ok alot of those moments. But we all had some really good times with him. He was full of energy and lots of spirit. It is hard to imagine him being 39 today. Can you imagine what his kids would be like? Heaven help us all. :-)

Johnny was a very loved baby. Being number 7 he had lots of helpers to hold and love him.
I like to think that Greg and Johnny are hanging out together and getting lots of work done on the other side.

Love the couch!

It is still hard to think of David without Johnny by his side. I know he is watching over David and is so proud of him. Two totally differnt boys that loved each other so much. I know Davids heart hurts for him. So glad they will be toghether one day again.

Love you Johnny! Be Good! We all think about you often- never to be forgotten!

Andrew Scouts

Today Andrew had Cub Scouts and they raced some rubber-band airplanes. The wind up and then they hook onto a line of rope and slide across the line. I took a short video but not sure how to put it on the blog. They had a good time. This is the 6th ward group.

Seattle Soccer

Vincent is really enjoying his High School Soccer team. He made the JV team. Yeah! Last week they played West Seattle High. They were a trash talking team and they lost big time. I felt bad for them till I heard they had potty mouths. It was fun to see Vincent play at Memorial Stadium. I think they are tearing it down next year. It is kind of sad, but the it is getting really old. While I was sitting under the cement overhang I was hoping we did not have an earthquake. I am pretty sure Dad went to this stadium when he was a kid. A part of Seattle's history being lost. I hope they can build another field in its place.

David and Rebekah! Engaged!

This photo is from last Christmas
Tiffany called me yesterday with great news! David asked Rebekah to marry him at Snoqualmie Falls! We had a warm sunny day and I imagine it was a beautiful setting! I got all this news from Tiffany who is 10. She said that they both were so happy they had tears of joy! We could not have asked for anyone more perfect for David! We love her so much! She is getting ready to move up here from Utah and is looking for a job. She currently is a Vice Principal for a High school. She is starting the interview process now. I was able to read some of her letters of recommendations and they all love her and speak very highly of her. She will be surely missed.

I am so excited to get to know her more and spend more time with them! I love it! Davids girls simply adore her and are very excited to have her join their family! Yeah! More details to come soon!

The Boy's

Today Andrew went back to the doctor and had his other nostril fixed. He was still getting nose bleeds and asked me to get it fixed. So the doctor was really nice and he tried to be gentle. He cauterized his nose with some silver nitrate. Andrew got a little faint during the procedure. So we layed him down and got him some cold towels. Then he was fine. Such a brave boy.
Vincent had High School tryouts for Soccer this week! Just when you think you are getting a break... He did awesome and it was fun to see him get excited about something again. The older boys were very nice to him. He almost made Varsity, but the positions that he likes to play were pretty well covered. He made it to Junior Varsity! It looks like it will be an awesome team. Lots of really good players this year! Fun to be back at Sammamish- seems not too long ago I was a kid there.
So life is not standing still for us. It has been great to see the sun shine. And my sister Cindy came with her husband to do work. We got a few days of play in. I love my sisters and feel so lucky that we all get along! Too bad we don't all live closer to each other. We will be heading to Vegas during Spring Break and I will get to see my other favorite sister!
