20 YEARS!!!

It is hard to believe it has been 20 years since Gary and I got married. Crazy! The time went so fast! I feel it is a good sign that it went fast. I would worry if it went slow. I am so lucky to be married to such a great guy! He loves me so much and does so much for me! He even loves my family! He goes the extra mile for them. Gary is also a great Dad and loves his boys. Its it so nice to see how they all enjoy spending time together.

Memorial Day was our anniversary. We had a fun day. Gary had made reservations for the night before, and it was tempting. But then I thought of all the plants I could buy with the money if we didn't go out to dinner. Gary agreed and we stayed home. We took a shopping tour to Home Depot and then Lowe's and then to the grand daddy of all nurseries in our area- Molbaks! Man is that one expensive place. But Oh I love to look at all the pretty flowering plants they have. It has great displays and tons of selection. We only purchased three plants from there. We bought some great climbing plants for the back trellis. We bought all the other plants from the hardware stores while they were on sale for the holiday week end.

The fun begins now! Planting all those plants! Vincent is hot to buy a paint ball gun so he was begging for things to do to earn money. He scored yesterday. We paid him a dollar a hole for the plants. I think we paid too much. But he worked hard and dug a lot of holes. He worked fast also. I was planting with him so he knew he had to work faster than me to get the holes dug before I did it. We got all the plants planted in one day! yeah! And it rained that night also. Perfect timing. We have not had to water the grass too much either. The rain has helped us alot, i have not complained about the rain yet. I am sure I will soon. But let the grass get rooted first!

Poor Andrew was not feeling well and tried to help out digging. He would get tired fast and complained that his throat hurt. I took him to the doctor today and he has strep throat again! He just got done taking medicine from 10 days ago for strep throat. So we are trying new medicine this time. I took the day off the take care of him. He might go to work with Gary tomorrow and hang out in the office.

I will add photos tomorrow of all the action.

First guest to the Yard! Gary Paintballing

We had our first guest to our back yard today. We had Andrews friend Mathias over and his parents came and we roasted hot dogs and had smores over the fire. And the boys went in the hot tub also. We love Mathias. He is so well behaved and polite. Andrew and Mathias are best friends. They love to play together. They both love Pokemon and Nintendo DS Pokemon games. We are very happy that they like to play together. Not all little boys are so easy to have over.

Gary and Vincent went and played Paintball with the scouts group. They went to someone property in Issaquah and they had some woods that the boys can play in and shoot each other till it hurts. Gary come home with welts all over his body. One of the boys did not follow the rules and would shoot too close to the kids. Vincent did pretty well and got only one welt. It was a beautiful day today. They got lucky and did not have to play in the rain. Not that that would have stopped them. Vincent would like to buy a paint ball gun now. He has started looking on Ebay to find a good deal.

Our Gardner for our front yard quit on us. Because he wanted to do more in our yard. I think our yard is too small for him now that he is getting more busy. Kind of ticked me off. He does all our neighbors yards now. We recommended him to alot of people. It only takes him 5 minutes really to mow it. He has all his stuff our for the neighbors. Oh well...........I need to let it go. Vincent is big enough now that he can cut the grass. And now we have even more grass in the back for him to cut. He is into doing chores now, so he can get an allowance. It's a pain to keep track of but it is good for him to save and spend his own money now. He is finding that he is spending it on stupid stuff and then when he really wants some thing he does not have it. Good lessons to learn.

Andrews face is getting better. He went in the hot tub and was worried about the glue coming off. He forgot at first then remembered. It was fine. The glue is still on and working great. He didn't even get bruised that much.

My body is so sore and tired. I pulled all the weeds out front and planted a few more bulbs. I think I will go in the hot tub and go straight to bed!

Poor Andrew!

Well our Yard is done, but we had our first casualty in it already. While Gary and I were out the boys decided to play in the back yard after I said to stay off the new grass for a few day. I know that is hard to tell the kids. But that was my instructions. Impossible, even for me to follow. You just want to go run around on it. I love it

Vincent and Andrew were throwing a baseball back and forth. Witch is not Andrew's best sport. He did not catch the ball and got it right in the face. He said it did not hurt too much and it did not bleed too much either. Vincent called me with a quick " Andrew got hurt come home quick". I got him to tell me what happened and figured out that we did not need to call 911. So we hurried home to find Andrew very worried on the couch with a cold cloth on his face. Vincent did a good job keeping him calm and took good care of him. Gary did not think the cut was big enough to go to the doctor. But I did not want him to have a scar on his face and it was open enough that it needed to be pushed back together again. I took him to the Emergency room for Group Health and it has been changed to a Urgent Care facility, so now it doesn't cost as much! Yeah! The doctor said it was good we came in while the cut was new and it is a straight cut so he glued it back together and all is well.

Andrew was very cute, he was worried that he would lose his sight in one eye! Or that he would not be able to see as well. I am not sure where he got that idea. He was very glad when I told him he would be able to see fine. He was also worried that he would not be able to go to school. He was full of questions and took a while for him to figure out that hospitals are a good place and doctors are very nice and they don't want to hurt you. Must be too much TV or hearing stories about his Dad going to the hospital and being in pain while you are there.

Glad everyone is good and starting to get back to normal. With the workers gone I can go back to the office and help make some money to pay for all the work done in the backyard!

Survivor Audition!

Ok call me crazy!!........I like to watch Survivor and saw that they were having open auditions in Seattle this weekend! Yikes.....I went for it! So last night I had Vincent help me and I made a 3 minute video to bring and printed out the application then printed a photo of my self. I decided to skip church and go to Lakewood which is about an hour away for the auditions. I was expecting to see tons of people there. I got there about 10am and there were only about 50 people there. So I set up my folding chair and got out my cooler of cold pop and snacks and filled out my application. I figured I had a long wait ahead of me. I found out that I did not need my video tape for this audition. Oh well at least I got some practice saying what I wanted to say. For the open auditions we are given 1 minute to talk and they video tape it. That is the whole audition! I thought about leaving but I was there so I decided to go this route. I did my taping at around 2:30pm. A long wait for 1 minute. Lots of crazy people auditioning. I don't think it will be hard to fill that slot. So hopefully I will be picked for the conservative spot. It would be fun to be on the show. It's worth a try. I was very nervous. A minute goes pretty slow when you have a camera pointing at you. I had tons of things to say. I think I said only half of them.

I will keep you posted on what happens next. Probly nothing. But at least I can say that I gave it a try.

Hey Scott! Congratulations! You are awesome for graduating! I am very proud of you. Sorry I could not come to your a party! It sounds like your wife put on a great party! Go Jenn! You are going to do a great job at Dental School! We love you!

PS I know my grammar is very bad. I write like a speak. So try not to read it as a written document. Thanks!

Fire in the pit!

Today Vincent could not wait to burn something in the fire pit that was made yesterday! He called me at work and asked if he could buy a lighter! I knew then I was in trouble. Good thing I know him well and quickly laid down the rules about lighting things on fire. No fire making unless one of his parents are home. I bought hot dogs and marshmellows and chocolate and we had a fun time by the fire for dinner that night. Vincent had to start a little fire right when I got home. He wanted to be the first one to light it.

Andrew was excited about the fire also. He was not excited about hot dogs. Then when he took a bite and said "this is the best hot dog I have ever had in my whole life". He liked the smores also. But he liked watching the marshmellows melt in the fire the most.

Today was the first warm day we have had in a long long time! I think everyone was craving to have the sunshine and warm up our bodies! I cant tell you how good it felt! I was trying all morning to get out of my home office to enjoy the sun. Finally after lunch I was ble to go and make a few visits to some of my bank branches. I parked a block away so I could walk in the sunshine instead of park in the garage next door to the bank. I loved it!

What am I doing? A blog?

OK I will start out slow. I am doing this so I can better keep track of my life and hopefully journal about my family and the things we do, that make our life ours. It might be a little boring blog. It will mostly be for my benefit. Sorry to all who want to read it for amusement, all though it might be amusing to some. But trust me my life is no that exciting. If bad grammar and bad spelling really bug you, sorry I don't do it on purpose! Please don't judge! I try.

Today was my birthday (42), what a good day to start a new thing. It will be easy to keep track of this way. Andrew was sick today still. So day two staying home from work and being distracted all day. But It was kind of nice to stay home and take care of my cute little boy. Seven is such a great age! He loves me and is so happy be with me. I get such a kick out of him. He is home with strep throat and is on medication. He is not contagious tomorrow, but his ears are all plugged up and not feeling the best yet. So Gary is going to watch out for him tomorrow. That's what happens when Mommy starts working again. I am so lucky that I get to stay home with him when I need to easily. I can even take him with me to work and he can hang out with me and watch movies in my tiny office. I should take a photo and post it of my office.

Vincent has started a blog on our back yard being re landscaped. He is really excited about it. Who am I to tell him not to. It is writing on his own! Wow amazing. His spelling and grammar are terrible! Probably does not fall to far from the tree. I am terrible. Yikes... Vincent blog is theyardvincent.blogspot.com. We sent out an email to everyone to see it. He is really excited that he got 10 hits already! Not everyone can figure out how to leave comments. It is kind of tricky.

Back to work tomorrow so we can pay for the new backyard. I am really excited to see how it turns out. My month is going OK, not as many deals as I would like, but they are starting to come in regular. I have been doing Reverse Mortgages for a year now for Wells Fargo. It has gone so fast! Hard to believe. I still feel like I don't know everything yet. I do love talking to so many different people. I can really change there life and make it for the better! That is the great part of it.

Wish me luck on this new blog part of my life.........................I will try and figure out how to do photos next!
