Picture Day!

Jedi Booters

Today was picture day for Andrew's soccer team. He has had so much fun playing soccer again this year. All the boys get along so well. The team is playing very well together. They have a good reputation for being a tough team to beat.

What a cute boy!

Love him!

I Don't like my background!

Ummmm...I don't like to cook. :-(

O.K. now I feel like an awful MOM! I hate to cook and my kids know it. I just have a thing about it. But my kids never go to bed hungry and they seem to be well nutritioned!
I make sure they buy lunch at school. I have fruit and vegetables around. They all get eaten. We sit around the dinner table at least 3 times a week.
I make great Waffles and Egg in a Hole! Popeye pancakes. Meatloaf. I barbecue a mean steak! And hamburgers and hot dogs with cheese melted in them!
My cookies are the best! And brownies with marsh mellows and frosting to die for!
But that is about it. If we really want a good meal, we usually go out.
But after this invitation from Andrew to the school Potluck. I think I will have to start going to the Dinner Ready place and make meals to freeze and cook. I used to do this.
Ugh!!!
Got to love this kid! Send me your easiest recipe quick! I need it!
I even mess up slow cooking pot roast!

GOOOOOOOOOAL! Andrew!

Andrew had a great soccer game this weekend! He even got a goal! Happiness is! I was very happy I was able to capture in on film- well digital media. :-)
This game was a great moral booster for the whole team.
Go Jedi-Booters!

Brown Family Visit!

Back in the good old days! 1984!
I love these guys! Roland and Russ and of course me!
The Browns!
Roger- Russ-Julia- Julie-Ben

I can't believe these guys are all grown up and Dads! What fun to see them again!

Catching up with the Amendola's

I forgot to post this. The Brown family was in town for their step Dads funeral. It has been over 25 years since I have seen Russ. He was off to Sweden after High School then off to Australia. He had done great. All the Browns have! Ben is in Arizona. He has his own company.

It is so strange to see friends that you know as kids all grown up! I am so glad they have all done great. I can't wait to visit Russ in Australia! I think we will have to go and visit Ben in Arizona also. He built quite a compound for him self!

I was very happy that I was able to host the family at my house for dinner. Of course I did not cook. Teryiaki chicken was a success from up the street!

It better not be 20 plus years when I see you next Russ!
Love ya! So glad we got to see each other again!

Labor Day Tournaments

Busy holiday weekend. Gary and I had to separate this weekend. Vincent had a soccer tournament in Tukwilla- close to home. And Andrew had a tournament in Puyallup. Not close to home.
Andrew and I decided to spend the night and the weekend in Puyallup. Not the same entertainment options open as Bellevue. But we had great time together. We saw two movies and played some new Lego board game. Hung out at the mall and watched a lot of soccer.
Gary and Vincent had some really exciting games I hear. They won all but the last one. They missed being in the playoffs by 1 goal. They were up against some really great clubs and they gave them all a run for their money. Vincent even had a Hat Trick at one game. That is scoring 3 goals in one game. I am so bummed I missed that. Of course no photos. With Gary being in a cast it is hard for him to manage a camera. I was able to see the last game. But it was a night game and the camera just does not do well in low light situations. Hummmm....time for new camera?

Andrew's game was played in a cool farm field situation. The local Indian tribes were also having a Pow-wow across the field. We could hear there chanting in the back ground. Pretty cool. I tried to go and take a peak, but the timing was off. When I had the chance to see them were not performing.

Camera Crew!
We have a great talent pool for photographers on Andrews team! I think we got them well covered in this area!

Andrew had a great time playing soccer...when he got to. Unfortunately there were a lot of players on the team and Andrew and a few other boys spent a lot of time on the bench. The average for a 30 minute half, Andrew got to play 6 minutes. We are hoping when the normal season starts he will get some more playing time. As it is a Recreational team.
All is well and Gary sees the doctor tomorrow and gets a new cast on. We hope he is recovering well. He is very eager to be moving along the recovery route. Aren't we all. :-)
Monday we got to sleep in! In our own beds! We had good intentions of getting a lot done. But instead we hung out and did nothing but be couch potatoes. Back to normal Tuesday. Early morning Seminary starts for Vincent. Being there at 6am is pretty early! Yikes....:-)
