Baby Jack!

I feel so lucky to have had Jack come and visit me!

He is the sweetest baby! I love him to pieces!

Thank you Jack for coming to stay with me!

I wish you did not have to grow up!

So Thankful for Family!

What a great thanksgiving we had this year!
It was alot of work for everyone. But well worth it!
Scott and Jenn and Afton and Jack were here from Las Vegas!
Mom and Dad were here from Utah!
David and Rebekah and Tiffany and Natalie from Washington!
Noah and Jennifer from Seattle!
Last but not least my wonderful family Gary and Vincent and Andrew!

How we all loved having Jack here!
He was held most of the time for sure.
Andrew and Vincent had fun playing with their old blocks.
We had them out for the little kids.

 Daddy's little girl!
Noah and Jenn are Vegans and had to put up with us Carnivores.
 Ohhh My!
Gary did an Awesome job on the Prime Rib!
It was my favorite part of the Dinner!
 Smoked Turkey!
Gary made his own brine and had it soaking it over night!
Then smoked it for 8 hours.
The big kid table....Oh yeah we are all Adults now...So weird to think we are older and have families.
 The wonderful little kids table.
Look how cute they are!
Afton will be ready for the kids table next year. :-)
The after dinner nap! We all watched Toy Story 3. Great movie.
 Oh How Cute!
The Honeymooners made a Eggnog Cheesecake! Yummy!
Baby Jack was loved by everyone!
Way to go Noah...you look good holding that cute baby!
Thank you so much family for coming and spending the day together.
It was such a good fun night. We even played a few hands of hearts.

I almost forgot to mention Scott McCallister and his family came for dessert. They are living in North Bend. We had a great time catching up with them. Nice to have them in town!

Snow with Perfect Timing!

Wed the 24th Scott and Jenn were due to arrive from LasVegas. Record low temperatures were the night before. Luckily it warmed up a bit and the main roads cleared up. I had no problem picking them up. Yeah. I got everyone back to our house safe and sound.

We woke up to find it snowing. It was so pretty. We had no where to go. It was great. Gary woke up early to get the smoker started. It was so cold the controls froze. We got out the hair dryer and that did the trick. The Turkey is back on!
Thanksgiving is saved.

 Good Morning Andrew!

Afton wanted Daddy to check the snow. How is it Scotty! Hard to believe he is a Dad. He seems to be a good one too. Who would have thought. :-) Afton loves her Daddy! She likes him always in sight.
Gary up getting the turkey started on the smoker. About 8 hours.
Afton is not sure about who Gary is. What a cutie.
It's way to early for Vincent. Wake up!
The snow was great for snowballs and snowmen.
Scott knows you don't waste that kind of snow. It never lasts too long.

Scott has a devilish look in his eye.
Doesn't get any cuter than this!
 Your not in Vegas anymore...:-)
 Jenn showing Jack the snow.
Jenn had never made a snow man before. She was very intrigued when we rolled up the snow and it stuck to itself. I do love that type of snow also. It is pretty cool how it sticks to itself.
Don't even throw that at me Vincent!
Andrew using his sled as a barricade from the snow balls.
Yeah- The first snow man of the season!
Fun times! I trimmed the palm tree for cool hands!

The snow melted by that afternoon. Just in time for dinner!

Snow for Thanksgiving!?

November 21st and we had snow on the ground!
This is so odd. I was starting to get worried about Scott Westra coming to town. How am I going to pick him up from the airport in two days? But it was so pretty!  The kids loved it for sure. They received two days off school for the snow. Oh yes...got to love snow days. Hard to get any work done with the kids home. Too many distractions.

The hill in front of the house is always a favorite for sledding. Lots of memories of my childhood playing on this hill.
 Go Andrew!
Vincent had a great time sledding. It was so cold it made for a hard landing, but lots of speed!
The poor trees had not even lost of their leaves yet. The Chinese maple tree still had some green leaves left. It does look very pretty with the snow.
This really makes me wonder what we are in for this year for winter weather.
Hmmm........

Andrew District 2 Championship Winners!

Yeah!  Good job Jedi Booters!
Andrews team has won their Rec Division for U11.
They played their game at Eastlake High School in Issaquah.
The big game was against their Lake Hills Rival the Dragons. Most of the kids know each other from school and from playing together thru the years.

 Buddies Mathias and Andrew.

What a fun group of kids.
I was elected the team photographer. As we were only aloud one from each team on the field.
Problem was some of the field lights were broken. So the field was very dark. Not the best for photography. But it was fun.

Good News is they won- Bad News is we have more games.
