I Think We Are Done!

Gary taking photos of me! Yeah I am finally in one!

Smile!

I rented the lens for one more weekend. Of course it rained for half the game. Then the coach did not play Vincent for the first half. And when he did he only kept him in for a short time. We are not sure what the deal is with the coach. While Vincent was in he made a goal and then the lines man said it was off sides. But it really was not. We were all right there.

Good thing I took alot of shots of Vincent while he was in that short time.

They ended up losing the game 0-1. As soon as they took Vincent out they scored. We think they are out of the tournament. So this was probly the last game with this team. He still has an indoor team he plays for.
Sammamish High School soccer tryouts start next month. That will be fun to see how that all works out. Go Sammamish! This is the same school I went to High School at.
Soon I can post about other stuff besides Soccer! I am looking for things.

Huge Camera Lense for the Weekend! Soccer of course!

Last weekend Gary rented me a cool lens to try out. It was not too much to money. It was fun to try something new. I would never be able to afford to buy this lens. It retails for about $6,000. I could never imagine spending that much. But I am sure if it was your job, that is another story.
Here are a few of the photos I took. I went kind of crazy and took way too many photos. I saved about 500 from this game. The parents were excited about all the great photos of their kids. Unfortunately this game was one of the few that Vincent did not play too much. Good timing. If you want to see all 500 let me know, I will send you the link. :-)
The lens if much heavier that i am used to. My mono pod was not working great so I had to carry it most of the time. My arms were sore the next morning. I only used it for half the game.
I think I will give it another try this weekend with a better mono pod to hold it.

Pinewood Derby Time! Go Andrew!

The big weigh in! They were careful about keeping the race fair. Could not be over 5oz! We had to drill some holes in the back of the car because it was too heavy.

Best Buddies Andrey and Andrew had a great time making and racing their cars!

This was a great heat for Andrew! First place in this one. Overall he came in 5th place. Almost got a trophy.

Bright green "Spider Car" ready to go down the track. This is a big day for all the boy scouts. I think the Dads have a good time also.

Whidbey Island! Scanning Photos and Slides! :-)

It is 12:22 am and I am still up! I was up till 1am last night also! This weekend I am with a bunch a ladies and we are all scrapbooking or doing some type of hobby. I am lucky to be able to do this once a year. 4 days of not being responsible for anyone or anything. Thank you Gary for helping me do this. I know it is a busy weekend at home! Kisses!

I have gotten alot done. I have scanned in over 300 slides for the Sarchet side of the family. It was a lot of fun to see photos of everyone when they were so little. Gary was born in Singapore and I think all of the slides were from this time frame 1963-65. They were so lucky to be able to travel growing up. They have been to some very interesting places! I would list a few- but I am sure I can not spell them this late in the night. :-)

The internet is very slow on the island so I will try and post pictures of the slides. Ok I will post 3 today. I will send the Sarchet family a link soon for all the photos on a web site so they can look at them all and try and put names to them all and dates.
I love family history and photos! Good thing because I have alot more to go! I am running out of steam! Good Night!

Trying to work and eat good?

I had a challenge today and I did not do very well. I did go and visit most of my bank branches today and delivered some huge cookies to them. They were very happy. But then I drove by Dicks and I stopped and got a burger and shake! Yikes....Oh well. I will do better tomorrow. Maybe I should work out tonight? That would be a good idea. :-)

At least I did not eat this huge cookie! They did smell good- Ok I did think about it. :-)

Girls Night Out!

I had a fun night last night catching up with Krisse and Jan. We saw Jan's new pad and it is great. I love getting together and listening to Jan's stories and her great energy she brings to everything. We made a quick stop to the police station where she works and said Hello to some of her friends. She has an important job and I am so proud of the hard work she does for our city!
Love you both! Krisee you are awesome too :-) You are a great Mom and a great example to me. You have made Dorothy proud.
Can't wait till next month to meet again!

Sky High Sports Center

"Mom we have nothing to do!"
Ok- I got tired of hearing this so I filled up the Van with kids and took them to a new place in town. It was very busy! I ordered tickets on line because they have been selling out everyday. A little pricy but fun for a special treat. They boys jumped for one hour. I did not think that would be long enough. But it was hard work jumping for that long. They had a place where the kids could play dodge ball and also jump into a pit full of foam blocks. They had a great time! Vincent brought his friend Christian with us. They did not like all the little kids around. Next time we will bring a larger group of big kids. They even have teams set up for dodge ball tournaments.

Fun to see the kids bounce off the walls.

The boys got a kick out of seeing thier cousin Scott Cox working! I missed taking a photo of him carrying off a hurt kid from the trampolines. Scotty grew up to be such a nice young man. It has been fun watching him grow up.

Go Vincent!
