We decided to get the ceiling fixed. So while we are at it we decided to have the laundry room finished and the downstairs bathroom floor updated. So I started emptying the laundry room and was surprised at how much stuff was crammed in there. I found lots of wheat from Mom's old food storage. Some of the bags were made of fabric and had holes in it. What a mess. So I moved everything in the living room. What a mess! I am slowly getting the stuff boxed up and either throwing away or giving to the D.I.

Mallory Cooney Wedding day
Today was super busy. I had tons of things to do but I did not want to miss Mallory Cooney's wedding reception. I found out what time the wedding was and I was able to arrange a ride home for Andrew from Primary practice. I was able to zoom up to the Temple for an hour and see Mallory come out. She looked great and so happy. It was a beautiful fall day and the sun even come out a little. I also enjoyed see some cousins and seeing Cheyls handy work with the dresses. She is always so creative. Cheryl has 6 daughters and she had 3 weddings this year. Each wedding has a different theme and colors. I enjoy how she tailors the wedding dress and the theme to the girls personalities. Way to go. Very sorry I had to miss the reception. I am sure it was great.
Enjoy the photos of the beautiful Bride!

Vincent's Homework
Vincent's home work this week is to make a music video. He used Andrew for his model. We all thought that the train tracks would be a cool spot. They have canceled the train route on this track. So don't worry we were never in danger. If the boys only new that if we walked down farther we would have been on the wooden bridge. I was not sure if that would be safe. And I am sure they have blocked it, I hope! I will post the video when Vincent is done editing it.
I think Andrew did a great job looking tough and mean.

Busy Weekend! Lots of Rain!
This week we had alot of rain. I don't know why I am always surprised by it. But it came down very hard on Friday and Saturday. We have a big drain in front of our house and it gets all clogged by leaves very easily this time of year. Gary is out clearing out the leaves so it can drain. He had a neighbor boy Gus help him out. Well I think he likes walking in the big puddle. Who wouldn't!
Andrew played a great game of soccer on Saturday. It rained so hard during the game it looked like the field had a river running through it. The boys loved it and they won the game. His team this year is doing really well. Andrew has also improved by leaps and bounds this year. Yeah! Go Andrew!
This is the team after the rain stopped, at the end of the game of course.

The boys loved seeing all the worms get washed up to the surface of the field. I tried not too look to close. Gross!
Hard to believe this game was played at 8 am! The clouds were so dark and heavy with rain! Such cute boys!
Andrew looking a little wet!
No games get canceled here! Only if we see lightning. And that is rare around here. If we canceled all the games when it rained, we would never play. :-)
Vincent all dressed up for Newport Homecoming Dance. The theme for the Freshmen was "Cartoon Network'. So we decided that a stick man drawing would fit. I attached some clear vinyl tubing to his clothes and then inserted some glow stick necklaces and bracelets into the tubing. It turned out pretty cool. I got the idea from the Internet on a homemade costumes site.
Vincent said he got alot of attention at the dance from everyone. He was not sure about that, being a Freshman and everything. And he does not attend this school. He was a guest invited by some friends.
Vincent with this friends. He has know this group since Kindergarten. They are in the Spanish Immersion group. I am glad they are keeping in touch with Vincent. Since he goes to a different school this year.
Cute girls!
The skies finally cleared up. Vincent's team had a great game. He came very close to scoring 3 times. Their team won 2-1. We really enjoy watching his team play. And Gary is really enjoying not coaching any more. He can sit and enjoy and talk with the parents. He never got to do that before.
We have noticed that alot of his friends have been getting injured this year. At this game his team mate got a cut lip and needed 6 stitches and got a concussion also.

Thanks Krisse!
A night out with the Girls turned out to be short a girl. Sorry Jan! I hope you are feeling better soon! We missed you! Next time! We had a fun dinner at the Purple Cafe? A great salad! Guess what I found in the car when I got home....the left overs. Sorry Krisse. If you want to come over for lunch I will have it here for you. :-)
Then off to a movie that we know our husbands would never take us too. I enjoyed watching this movie. I had no expectations of it at all. I had never heard of it. Found out that it was a true story and how sad. Bummers that so many talents are not recognized till it is no longer available. I did shed a tear. Definitely a chick flick!
I love our girls night out. Some times we let our friendships go to the way side. Everything gets so busy. So we decided to make it a priority to meet once a month. I am glad we did. It is too easy to let the months pass us by. Then you turn around and it has been a year since we have seen each other.
Thanks for a fun night! Love you! See you next month!

Back to Work!!!
Gary is back to work. Yeah!!!! Gary is feeling a little better! He is still not cured and we have not even found out what is causing the pain. His doctor says that he has had the most tests done on one person in 30 years! And he is disturbed that nobody has found out what is wrong. We have not given up on finding the problem. Right now his pain has lessened and it is not so constant. He was starting to go stir crazy at home. So his doctor gave him the OK to go back to work.
His office was very happy to see him back. He had over 2000 emails on his computer when he started it back up. He has been busy catching up and being on conference calls.
The great part is that he has lost about 30 pounds! He looks good! He is determined to not let the weight come back on, so he is exercising and eating right. The bad part is that I am now under a great deal of pressure to lose my weight. And I have no one home to have lunch with. The house seems very quiet again during the day. It feels like when all your kids go back to school....weird.
Things are starting to get back to normal. I can ask him to drive kids places and go to the store all by himself again! I can even make him get out of bed to get the kids ready for school while I snooze for 5 more minutes. Nice!
I just need to remember that he is still not cured. He still needs to take it easy and not over do him self. That is going to be hard. He looks normal, but I know he is not. So cross your fingers that all goes well. We will take one day at a time.
I am most happy to see him smiling again and laughing at me. I do what I can! :-) The kids are happy to have Dad back also! Life is good!
